Weapon-Training

The following excercises simulate real weapon fighting situations.

What is Weapon-Training?

The shown kumitachis are the result of collecting and mixing different techniques from various schools. Int the end this techniques were improved by Ramtin Rezanezhad.

To protect you from any harm, you only shoud use a bokken (wooden sword) or another wodden (or plastic) weaponry. All hits and cuts in this techniques are only indicated.

With the bokken (sword) is fighted against:

- Bo, Jo, chain, Kama, Tonfa, Sai, jacket and knife

Two-Weapon Technique

In two-weapon technique (like: Kama, Tonfa, Sai) one weapon is often used to control (or parry) the opponent's sword while the other one dispatches him.

Some advice:

- Do not move yourself before your opponent does: otherwise your enemy can respond to your move.

- Always block (a sword-attack) between the handle and the mittle of the opponent's sword (bokken). This gives you also a better control of your opponent's hand.

- You should avoid to get into the opponent's swordline, quickly go for swordman's hand, block (or parry) the sword-hand, try to disarm him, and put him out of action.
